  Action Plan- web 2.0 and English and Communication Skills Teaching

Objectives

The objectives of the title are to: 
  * impart into my colleagues in the Department the use of doc google in collaborating on the writing
   materials for the teaching of GNS 101&201
  *creat a blog in which all the students will submit their assignment
  *introduce the use of blog in submission of assignment
  *teach the students how to search for information using web 2.0 tools
  * conduct a College Seminar on the use of googledoc,blog,googletalk, flickr, picassa , google alert


 Methodology

Fifteen members of the Department of Communication & General Studies will be selected to participate in the training. The participants will be divided into 3 according to their units within the department. Each group will develop a taeching materials on their units for teaching the three different Course areas in the Department.
 Two hundred students offering GNS 101& 201 will be exposed to the use of blogging and advanced search in project writing. 
Sixty academic staff and 12 administrators in the College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development.

Dr Victor Makinde will handle anything that has to do with images eg picassa
